APSYS Multiskills Training Matrix

Situation

The mandatory APSYS cross-training tracking tool existed but relied on manually colored shapes, inconsistent movement names, and separate sheets per EPU, with no single view across a full line.

Role

Improved and automated the existing mandatory tool rather than building a new one from scratch.

What was done

Replaced manual round-shape color coding with automated color coding, reviewed and standardized movement names across sheets, and built an automation that regrouped the separate EPU sheets into a single document giving a complete line view.

Result

Functional tool, adopted on 1 of 3 production lines across 4 of 11 EPU managers at time of handoff.
